 The evolution of Starclassic from maple, birch, bubinga, birch/bubinga continues, and now – after intense analysis, rigorous research, development and product testing – Tama has arrived at the latest Starclassic modern development, Starclassic Walnut/Birch.

Tama discovered the perfect ratio of walnut to birch that produced a superior quality of low-to-mid frequency warmth that perfectly complemented the clear attack and higher frequency projection of birch. The sound is familiar, but distinctively different from Tama sounds of the past.
The Starclassic series continues to be a representation of Tama’s collective drum-making passion, wisdom and pursuit to offer refined and differentiated sounds. Starclassic Walnut/Birch defines Tama’s commitment to evolve their drum sounds and inspire the contemporary drummer.

YOU GET:

Drum Sizes (depth x dia):  14×20, 8×12, 14×14 floor tom with legs.

All toms feature die-cast hoops.

Mounted tom features Tama’s Starcast suspension mount.

Toms have Tama’s new Quick-Lock brackets for quick set-up and tear down.

Bass has current spec non-penetrating bass bracket.

Set includes a single-tom holder.

Tom shells are 6mm, 4ply European Birch + 2 inner ply American Black Walnut.

Bass shell is 8mm, 5ply European Birch + 2 inner ply American Black Walnut.

Note:  Any stands, snare drum, cymbals, or pedals shown are available but not included.
