From the maker: After a couple years of testing, Snareweight is stoked to have wrapped up our M100 Leather model. It is weighted with a 3.5 ounce (100 gram) chrome body, a magnet, felt, and leather. It can also be easily detached via the magnet to clip for tuning or for a song that doesn’t need dampening.

It’s about the same as the M1 BUT does sound different. Because of the weight and the fact it sits out and away from the rim of the drum, it keeps the ring of the shell and adds a bit of crisp clarity and compression.

It won’t dampen all the ring from your snare but tighten it up and give it more punch keeping the shell open around the rim of the drum.

*Remember the M100 will work with any size drum;(8in.,9,10,12,13,14,16,18, etc.) Dampen in a snap or disengage even faster with the magnetic on/off feature. Works with triple flange hoops, die cast, angel hoops, true hoops, 1/4in. wood.
